First Crack 68. Dan Carroll Talks about the IMP Media Player
Garrick Van Buren
Dan Carroll and I grab lunch at Joes Garage and we talk about IMP - his music and movie distribution platform currently in beta.
We talk about how it benefits independent artists, how it’s different than iTunes, the decision to go with BiTorrent, and who this platform is intended for.
We start off with a bit about Attention and then get down to business.

I listened to the podcast and you just kept saying ‘leave me a comment’. So I’m here leaving a comment. This show just keeps getting more raucous. Great lunch today with Dan. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting; this sounds like a fine project, and I only hope my own soon-to-be-released project grows big enough to require the use of IMP…

Love your podcasts.
You know, “Who am I and why am I here?” was widely misinterpreted to mean Admiral Stockdale was old and confused. He actually was trying to introduce himself, but wasn’t good enough at the political game.

Dan,
Thanks for the reminder. I’ve always thought ‘Who am I, Why am I here’ is an excellent way to introduce ones self.
If only for the fact that makes people wonder if you really know.
